To deepen the integration of industry and education, accelerate the industrial application of scientific research achievements, and further advance cooperation and exchanges with local industries, Vice Director Yuan Xiangping and a delegation from Jinling General Machinery Manufacturing Plant of Jiangsu visited the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Southeast University on June 2, at the invitation of Professor Ni Zhenhua, Dean of the School.

At the exchange meeting, Dean Ni Zhenhua, on behalf of the School, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Jinling General Machinery Manufacturing Plant of Jiangsu. He elaborated on the School’s development history, disciplinary strengths and educational features. He stated that taking the construction of the Intelligent Optoelectronics Innovation Center of Southeast University as an opportunity, the School will continue to deepen practical cooperation with high-quality local enterprises in talent cultivation, graduate employment, commercialization of research outcomes, and joint development of science and innovation platforms. He expressed the hope that both sides would further streamline communication channels, tap into untapped cooperation potential, and jointly open a new chapter of mutually beneficial win-win collaboration.

Faculty and students from research teams including Optoelectronic Chips and Integrated Systems, Optoelectronic Integration and Microwave Photonics, Vacuum Micro-Nano Electronic Devices, Advanced Electronics and Thermal Management, as well as Topological Transport and Thermal Management participated in the discussion. The two sides engaged in in-depth talks covering technical requirements, engineering application scenarios and potential avenues for joint cooperation.

Prior to the meeting, the leadership delegation from Jinling General Machinery Manufacturing Plant of Jiangsu, accompanied by Dean Ni Zhenhua, toured the Shungui Laboratory. Wu Jing, Director of the Shungui Laboratory, briefed the visitors on the construction progress, positioning and major equipment configuration of the Micro-Nano Fabrication Platform under the Interdisciplinary Science Center of Southeast University. The plant’s leaders held thorough exchanges and discussions with laboratory administrators regarding the development of the optical processing platform, expansion of equipment capabilities and prospective application directions.

This visit and exchange enabled both parties to gain a more thorough understanding of each other’s research foundations, platform resources and engineering demands. Tentative cooperation intentions were reached in areas such as technical collaboration, project matching and student internships, laying a solid foundation for follow-up collaborative innovation integrating industry, academia and research.
